Sending Pictures on my Sony Xperia Tipo

Anonymous
Not applicable

Until very recently, I have been able to send pictures. Now I get a message " Message will be sent when service becomes available" then after a short time. "Message could not be sent".

I have checked and rechecked my setting, which I received vai an email from o2. I have had them send my setting via ACTIVE to 2020. I have been chatting to 3 different advisors, who all tell me that my account is set to send and reeceive pictures. But I am still unable to do so.

Can anyone help please. Thanks

Yep, I think myself and MI5 have covered most options here. It may be a trip to your local O2 shop to speak to a guru there to see if they can help.

Unlikely, but If they do say it has to go for a repair don't let O2 do it. Go directly to Sony under the warranty.

one more thing, You could always make a backup of your phone then connect it to PC Companion and do a firmware repair and see if that works before trekking into town.

Sounds like you need to get MMS removed from your account then get it reprovisioned.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Generally I get that message when I have no signal and you have to wait to get into coverage for it to send. To save battery it will only try and send for a limited time and if you're not back in service in that time it will cancel.

If you are in coverage check that you have a working data plan as MMS uses data to send and if there is signal coverage but no data coverage you will experience the same issue.

If you can get on the internet you have data although MMS only requires 2G so will send/receive even if no 3g signal.

Call CS and get MMS removed and reprovisioned first before you do anything else. It will take 24 hours to activate but is most likely the cause.
