If its making the right noises but staying blank I'd go with a screen fault too.

Hi

Have you tried a hard reset ?

http://www.hard-reset.com/samsung-galaxy-s4-hard-reset.html

Or connecting to a PC suite.

Help Thread http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Android-Devices-Samsung-HTC-Sony/HOW-TO-A-Guide-to-using-Odin/m-p/46346...

Or contact Samsung via their uk support page under warranty.

Did you allow the battery to go flat? If so you will need to charge it for a good 15 minutes first before it will restart.

If this is the case then charge for a while, press the on off button and a battery symbol will appear. Press on off again and hold it down until battery symbol disappears then try to turn on again by holding the on off button in until the handset vibrates briefly.

You could also try removing the battery for a few seconds then trying the phone. Seems odd its making startup sounds but no display, could be a hardware fault with the screen or its connector. Has the phone gotten wet/damp recently? Could be moisture damage
