Ihave done hold the volume button and off button but it just restarts as before with the pattern requested. Does anyone know how i can fix it or do i need to go into store?

Thanks

Hi @Tracy21

There's a good video here which shows you how to do it. Videos are probably better than the written word as an explanation for this. If it doesn't work, then take it instore.

@Tracy21
There are other You Tube videos if you do your own search. If nothing works, there will be an O2 guru instore who will be able to help, hopefully.

You can force a reset after 5 failed attempts. You need to wait until it prompts you. Once I have time to look it up again proper.

As long as you have access to your Google account. You can force a reset.

As far as I can fathom remote security is done by Samsung.  Essentially by registering your handset through the Samsung account, all security options can be controlled from your account.

The knox security options are the reason for this opposed to using the Google network. Principally the start up code locks the hardware not your software.

Hopefully you got this fixed and somebody else explained this to you. The findmyphone options under your account will let you remote locate and lock your device from your account.
