Back to Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) operating system from Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)

Hi there, is there any possibility to roll back to Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) from Android 4.0. I made the terrible mistake to upgrade and now the devise is very slow and I am not happy at all.

Yes however different companies handle your warranty different from others. Samsung is fine as long as you stick to stock ROM's. I can't say the same for Sony though and you need to make sure the Bootloader is unlocked.

 

Each handset as a serial number which needs to be accessed to unlock certain features of the Sony as far as I am aware. It's about as far away from Open source/GNU license if you ask me.

 

Do some research on XDA Developers where they have more knowledgable people than the CS will have.

Your warranty will be fine as long as you use Samsung firmware files and not 3rd party ones. You can get the files from www.sammobile.com. You need Odin (also off Sammobile) to flash and all the instructions are on the site. Type *#1234# into your dialler and let me know what it says and I'll send you a link to the gingerbread files for your phone. However, ICS is fine and should not give you problems. You really should do a factory reset after flashing/upgrading, did you do that on your phone?
