Android 6.0 Samsung galaxy s6

Anonymous
Not applicable
OK I have searched the net and even tried to talk to O2 via online chat and there seems to be no new news on this upgrade for s6 on o2. I spoke to 3 different gurus online and I was told it does not exist, it's not coming to Samsung on o2 and finilly it will be ready 2017. So before I give up and admit to my wife that htc are better for updates does anyone on here know when android 6.0 will be ready to download for samsung galaxy S6 on o2?

I'll flag @Chris_K as he is the only one we know with that sort of info.

This is quite confusing as the S6 family of devices have had Marshmallow available to them for at least a couple of weeks now > http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Welcome-News/Android-6-0-Marshmallow-HUB/td-p/923104

On 31st March we even approved a maintenance release of 6.0.1 for the S6 family, after the initial Marshmallow update > http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Welcome-News/Android-6-0-Marshmallow-HUB/m-p/960496#M15538

Where did you get your phone from, and have you tried checking manually for updates from the phone and/or via Samsung KIES?

Live Chat are completely unreliable and haven't got a clue. Have you manually checked for the update on your phone? If you bought the phone from Amazon was it sim free or on an O2 contract?
