Android 4.4 KIT KAT

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi All,

new version of Android Kitkat should roll out and will be available for couple new phones.

HTC One, S Galaxy S4, Nexus 4, 7 . and couple other. There wont be big changes, but should be faster and main thing save the battery. Does any one know more when we will get it?

I am on o2 but got my S4 from CPW and have had the update.

To Be honest the changes are not major and for the majority won't make much difference so unless you are having issues with your current version (4.3???) I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

Noooooo!!! I was really hoping for the update soon too! 😞 Was going to just do that BTU update but I hear you need to be unlocked to do that?

Yes and you will void your warranty (if that bothers you)?

Not too bothered about the warranty, I suspect Samsung won't be all that quick or great at covering warranty related issues anyay. So I could do the BTU update then if I don't mind voiding the warranty?

As I have said already the kitkat update doesn't change much visually. The main improvement I have seen is in battery life. Other than that little change so really not worth losing any sleep or stressing over.

Hmmmm was the battery life I was hoping it would sort out. It's not as good as I thought it would be coming from the Nexus 5
