Android 4.4 KIT KAT

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi All,

new version of Android Kitkat should roll out and will be available for couple new phones.

HTC One, S Galaxy S4, Nexus 4, 7 . and couple other. There wont be big changes, but should be faster and main thing save the battery. Does any one know more when we will get it?

That's good news.

Yes, it could be. I need CSC to confirm but I am guessing it will be O2U which hasn't been released yet for kitkat.

Hi, According to Kies my CSC is MK1 and it says 02U, does this mean there is no KitKat update avaliable yet?

In a word yes. O2 have not yet released kitkat for branded versions.

Typically the operators such as o2 take time to test the updates before releasing them

Nothing released by O2 as of now for O2 branded phones, but people with a sim free phone using an O2 sim card would have got the update.

It's the phone, not the sim card that dictates it.

I suspect that those on o2 who have had the OTA updates got their handsets from CPW who don't lock them to the network I.e they are sim free.

The ones sold via o2 shops o2 website or o2 telesales are all locked to o2.
