4.2.2 For HTC One X

Anonymous
Not applicable

Following Perksie's advice from the other similarly titled thread that has been listed as solved by someone, thought I'd open a new thread, so any HTC One X users can report on any correspondence they have with O2 about the roll-out of 4.2.2 to the HOX.

The last major update (to 4.1.1) left a lot of users disillusioned with O2 after conflicting answers from a variety of sources. If anyone can tell me how to post a link to that thread for reference I will. I will also copy and paste my comment from the other ('solved') thread below.

Let's hope O2 get it right this time.

@Toby & @Chiara, can you help us at all....?

Hi guys,

I'm not being tested no slight_smile

However, I have asked for an update on this, as well as ascertaining what you were told on chat.

Cheers, Toby

Good news, just turned on my phone and the 4.2.2 + Sense 5 update is downloading at this very moment!

Grab your handset and hit that update button!

Hope everyone has a great day! slight_smile

Not to detract from the two above posters (I'm only jealous), but I've just checked my HTC One X for updates and nothing.

(Probably a good thing, as I won't get on wifi for another six hours!)

James,

Sorry to hear that you've seen nothing yet.  Just to clarify (& therefore hold out hope for you & others on this topic) my HTC One X+ is indeed an O2 phone, rather than an unlocked phone that I just happen to use on O2, so I really do think that this is it.

Crap Wi-Fi means that I'm only on 63% download as yet .... will post more, re; what O2 have seen fit to add once it's all up and running.

10rdan and MattB, have you got a One X+, or just a one X, eveyone else that has got it so far seems to have a One X+...

Just hit my 'check now' button on standard HOX, and.... nothing. Have tried it another 30 times (just to be sure), and ... still nothing!
