We're pleased to confirm Apple’s latest products, the iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max have now launched and are available to purchase from today, Friday 21 September. Customers will be able to pre-order the iPhone XR beginning Friday 19 October, and launching on Friday 26 October.

O2 aren't supporting esim on the watch series, which makes you wonder why.
Lack of interest or the cost versus productivity don't make sense economically. Which ever one it is, it will be an underlying factor and business decision; not just O2 being party poopers.

O2 have this time round said the expect eSIM support in H1 2019.
Note that from my knowledge this implementation of eSIM is a GSM ratified one, and is thus not an Apple thing. It just seems that Apple was (among the) first to role it out.

Having recently purchased an apple was s4 with cellular (clearly i had more faith in o2 before reading this thread) i have asked on the live chat and they have confirmed e sim to be launching on january 1st.....
Not sure how accurate this is as i cant see it mentioned anythere. Just wondered if anyone else has been told the same.
