Hi Guys

I guess with capita arriving in the picture the future does not look so good will O2 exsist for very long in its current form. The more I am hearing the happier I am to be with Plusnet at least they seem to be growing not shrinking. I am saddenend at what is happening good luck to all the staff at O2 with their new bosses.

£1.2billion over a 10 year contract puts into perspective exactly how much O2 has been spending on customer management services.

Outsourcing usually saves a company at least 10% on what they expect their budget to be.

But be clear this is purely a cost saving strategy, one can almost guarantee a reduction in service performance as most outsourcing exercises have proved.

O2 are specialising in mobiles and business internet but will still be under Telefonica control. I don't see them selling O2 anytime soon, especially as its a worldwide brand.

Chrisaab I've just got my final bill from O2 broadband and although I've been on a new contract since Chriistmas I should have paid a cancellation fee. I got the cancellation for free. Did anyone else find this nice surprise.

I just got an email telling me to top up my O2 mobile £10 to get my £3 discount.

Do really need to do this now that Sky are effectively billing me?

I'm sorry what has your O2 mobile got to do with Sky?

If you are referring to a broadband discount of £5 a month then nothing has changed.

I'm not sure what you don't understand. And I don't understand what has not changed.

I have an O2 broadband legacy package. I have always had to top up an O2 mobile phone £10 every three months to get a discount on my O2 broadband.

Since Sky own my O2 broadband, do I have to pay O2 mobile £10 to retain the usual monthly broadband fee including discount?

Will O2 Mobile tell Sky whether or not I topped up the mobile? And will Sky care?

The O2 mobile is not my main mobile phone - I only use the credit when I am roaming abroad and I don't really need any more credit.

If the discount is £5 (not £3 as I thought) and I lose it I might as well go to PlusNet fibre for the same money wink

Now you have explained properly your question makes sense.

Yes you will need to comply with your original terms that you agreed with O2, as they are the prevailing ones that affect you.
