Samsung watch7 lte not making calls without phone

I have Samsung S21 phone and Samsung watch7 lte.  I wanted to be able to make calls without the phone from the watch.

I have 2 esim plans different numbers.

O2 store set it all up. Store says the watch can make calls without phone, however has never been able to. Depends on who you talk to on O2 customer service, they say yes you can

However someone else says O2 only have plans for data only on watches. Please in simple terms what's the truth. I am 74 and tech illiterate.  Help!!!

That's such a lot of messing connecting with O2

I have a Galaxy Watch 8 connected to my EE account and this is the precise reason I didn't use O2

I just took out a data plan on the watch and followed the simple steps to connect

After 1 hour I got a confirmation notification on the phone that it was all set up

I can make calls and send texts when I leave the phone at home and everything was so simple
