I have my O2 SIM and made a request to keep my Virgin Mobile number 12/01/23. I completed the on-line form at O2 & provided my SIM PAC code provided by Virgin. I have installed my O2 SIM in my phone today, 13/01/23 but when I check in "About Phone" in my Settings, my phone number is shown as the new O2 number & not my number from Virgin Mobile. Any advice would be gratefully received!

You always start off with a temporary number. O2 are slow on transfers at the moment but it should really go through by tomorrow at the latest.

You should receive a text message informing you the date when the number will be ported
If you haven't received that yet then the port will not happen before Tuesday at the earliest as ports aren't actioned over weekends.

Can I ask whether this got resolved? I have the same ongoing issue - I completed the same O2 online form last week to switch my number over from Virgin and I'm still waiting for anything to happen. In the meantime I appear to be paying for both a Virgin Mobile contract and an O2 contract 🤔

@DrummerBoy O2 seem to have real problems with that form.
If you have your PAC code better contacting them direct or by one of the means on our community guide

Thank you for your response. Actually the problem was more that I was just a little bit impatient - the number transfer took place this afternoon without me having to contact them separately and seems to have been successful. In hindsight it took under 3 business days so can't complain too much!
