Easiest option is to visit any O2 store with photo ID and they will replace it free of charge

Otherwise you need to call customer service on 202 or 4445 PAAYG

Thanks, tried my nearest o2 shop, no help, only seemed interested in getting me to upgrade my phone.

As my o2 phone isn't working due to the faulty sim not sure how to contact customer service.

@hob If you had identification with you, your O2 store should have just given you a new sim and set it up for you. There's absolutely no reason why they should refuse.

Call customer service by downloading Skype: Guide: A Guide to Skype

Call +44800 032 1402 for free.
When it comes to the reason you are calling, stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say 'Upgrade', 'Lost/Stolen', or 'Fraud' if the suggestion above doesn't get you through.
Best time to call is 8 am.
You can also reach O2 via social media:
Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB), Twitter (now X) (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW), or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)

You should also lodge a complaint about the store: How to Complain | Help | O2

That option in MyO2 only works once you have the new SIM and you want to move your number off the old SIM onto the new SIM, @whall3y

@hob still needs to physically have the replacement SIM, so the trip to the O2 Shop with photo ID is the quickest way, as they will move the number from old to new SIM as well.
