Hi, I recently changed to o2 and wanted to keep my number from a previous contract. It had been working fine until a week ago. I can no longer receive iMessages only texts.

Check your number is correct in Settings >Phone >My number.
If not, edit it, save and reboot phone.
If you can't edit it, do a network settings reset.
Check in message settings that "start conversations from" has your number ticked.
Finally, if all else is failing, log out of icloud and log back in again.
