having a nightmare !
had a galaxy A 8 tablet but was told could not put e sim on that as too old.
so bought Galaxy s9 Fe as that apparently that takes an e sim.
ditched mobile contract with Three as they were no help.at all.!
had phone contract with O2 so added a 2gb contract for new tablet.. was told that physical sim for this contract would arrive in post..then we could apply for e sim so that when abroad for 1 month of year we could activate unlimited data on e sim for streaming..
however no sim in post but has arrived directly on tablet presumable via an e sim????
so ring up 02 to find out how to get e sim only to be told that one cant use an e sim abroad anyway!
no manager available to speak too and we are running out of time to get sorted.
any help would be appreciated please!!!!

I find this a bit confusing. An eSIM functions in the same way as a plastic SIM. If you can roam on one you can roam on the other.
This is what we have on activating eSIMs see if it helps

Complete rubbish from whomever told you that @kpe
1 - You don't get unlimited data in EU, but yo udo in ROW if using O2 Travel (any variant) but speed is capped so no streaming possible.
2 - Data sims only work in UK anyway.
