I am trying to activate a credit card but the SMS messages containing a verification code are being blocked. How do I accept these messages?

When I try to login to my account it asks me to choose a phone number so O2 can send me a code to sign in, but it only lets me select one phone number, which I do not use anymore, how do I change this number and sign in???
