Hi,
My phone was stollen when abroad. I locked the SIM and ordered a replacement. I received an email informing me to activate it by sending a text to a UK O2 operator, but I am not in the country and so not directly connected to the UK O2 network. So the question is if someone activates it in UK and sends it to me could I put the SIM in my new device and use it? That is, if you put your SIM card that had been previously activated into a new phone would it work straight away or do you need to activate it again?

That's the only way it could be done but make sure the sum is sent to you by courier and tracked so it doesn't go missing.
