The checker says I should have good indoor and outdoor coverage with O2 at my postcode. But it's very poor with hardly a signal.

@Bethanne1 The checker is only a computer guesstimate and not to be relied upon. See the guides below:
How can I sort out my network issues? - o2uk
Why do I have poor coverage indoors? (o2.co.uk)
You can report issues here: My Network App - Find Out More About Your Network Coverage | Apps | O2
Use WiFi calling when you can: WiFi and 4G Calling: Everything You Need To Know | O2

If you have barely any signal @Bethanne1, and if the suggestions that @Bambino has highlighted do not resolve the issue, you might want to think about trying another network when your contract ends. In order to avoid further issues, you should think about procuring PAYE SIMs from other networks and establishing what works best in the areas that you frequent. 👍

Is this a recent problem, that you've had coverage in this location previously?
Or that you're new to this area/O2?
