Texts not arriving

Some texts from my daughter never arrive despite my phone being on all day every day. They seem to be texts sent at night when the phone is off. I did not have this problem with any previous phones. Phone is a Samsung. The settings have been checked in an o2 shop and I have done an o2 online chat but am no further forward.

Check also your phone does not have a setting to disable network connection during sleep hours.

Finally, cache clearing on messages app can help (may remove old messages, so be careful!) - tip for Android here:
