Whenever I send a text message I get a notification saying “message failed to send” but 9/10 times the recipient responds to the text showing it has been delivered.
Attempting to resend the text appears to send it again but I still get the same failure message.
I have tried resetting the network settings, reinserting the SIM card, and contacting customer services, who stated that if the text messages were being received there isn’t an issue but I would like to know if my texts are sending or not.
Any advice?

I'll guess you are using an iPhone?
If so, it's a known issue with iOS16.

Hi @Brodie_99 did @MI5's advice help with the issue?

Hi, I've been having this issue since I've joined o2 earlier this month. Is there any workaround? I don't seem to be able to send texts without them failing 5 times first. Also on iPhone 14 plus on ios 16.

The workaround is as above and just ignore the false message from the iPhone.

Oh I didn't realise the original poster's messages were actually sending. Mine fail instantly & don't get sent at all even after having a new sim. Must be a different issue.

Yeah, sounds different @Georgie379
