Morning, I’ve been having signal issues with O2 for the past 5 days.
It’s now becoming very inconvenient and frustrating.
I’m in the SK12 area and have never had such issues in over 10yrs! I know it’s not just my phone as my daughters is the same as well as friends on O2 so it naturally tells me it’s the area.
when I check O2 service status it just says “Our network can get busy in this area”…this is the answer all the time…what has changed? I’m sure it’s always been busy!

They have no answers, just a busy area. Could this be because they have teamed up with virgin media?

Not in terms of infrastructure although the additional customers brought on board could have an effect.
There are lots of areas showing as "busy" which indicates to me that some serious work is required to increase capacity on the network.
Maybe they will use the 11+% price hike to do so 🙄
