Repeated "Thanks for activating visual voicemail" text alerts?

Hi there. I keep getting texts saying "Thanks for activating visual voicemail", but I've never actually done so (it's 2024, who uses voicemail?!). These appear to be official O2 system messages - there are no links out, my phone recognises it as coming from "O2:", and the texts are marked at the bottom as "you cannot reply to this short code".

Does anyone know why I might be getting these alerts? My concern is someone is trying to remotely access my (non-existent) voicemails remotely, and each attempt is causing one of these texts to come through to my actual phone, but less paranoically, if it's just an error, how do I stop them?

You need to go into your phone app >settings >voicemail and turn off the switch for VVM

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
