Is anyone else experiencing issues with their signal in places that would normally be fine? I've been with O2 for a long time and previously always been impressed with the signal I get. It used to be the only network to get signal in tricky areas. Unfortunately over the past few months the I've noticed I'm getting more and more issues with signal. I know longer get signal in my house when have always been able to previously for the past 5 years of living here. I'm struggling to even get coverage outside! Is it because my phone is due for renewal although I'm not eligible until May 2023. I've been loyal to O2 for a very long time now but this issue is making me think I may change provider when I'm due to renew in May! Anyone else having same or similar issue?

I don't remember O2 except in the pre 4G stage. But yes, there are areas I would expect better. They are now bottom of the list for data speeds. (I've seen a few shockers caused by congestion)

Guide: Do you have poor coverage / signal Indoors? This may help Explain / resolve it

Guide: How can I sort out my network issues?

Guide: Is the network down for me or everyone?

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

A bit of advice if changing providers.

Get some PAYG sim cards and check coverage in all the areas that you normally use your phone, such as home, work etc, as you will find all networks have blackspots, and areas that are rubbish.

Never ever trust the online coverage maps, they are just best guess, based on optimum conditions.

Yes I am for over two months now, the Warrington area has poor signal, but O2 will not accept this we now have four mobiles in the family and around 3 miles apart and we all have the same issues, but o2 will not accept this.

Are O2 letting us down I think so, we have had poor signal and dropped out or unreachable number, because my signal strength is only one bar if I am lucky.

O2 states there is nothing wrong, but the family has four mobiles and live three miles apart and all suffer this dreadful 02 service

@JKNDT

I have no idea why it is, but my experience generally in the North of England is that O2 provide decent coverage to the East of the Pennines and in the North-East whereas their coverage in Lancashire and Cheshire is in need of improvement.

I should add that this is not a proper survey. It is just my impression based on my travels.

Yep Warrington is not the best. Lots of congestion in places and woeful 5G cover compared with other networks

East of the Pennines where I live the signal is just about adequate

Signal comes and goes and investment in this area , as far as I have experienced, is non existent and it's been like that for the past 6 years that I have been condemned to live here.

Granted it's a village but it's a good job I have a second EE sim in the phone which has brilliant data speeds and excellent call quality
