Changed to a new iPhone, as part of the migration the physical SIM card will no longer connect to the network. I downloaded the digit sim which sort of worked, but caused lots of hassle with how contacts were stored, how to call via google etc. so deleted the eSIM, yet the physical one just isn’t working. When the sim card draw is open it recognises this, not just nothing working. Tried resetting network setttings, no difference.

The plastic sim is now dead, as you moved to an esim, so you will need to get a new sim card, the best thing to do is pop to an o2 store with Photo ID, and they can issue you a new sim card.
Or you can call customer services on 0344 809 0202 and they can send you a new plastic sim.
