My number was disconnected without warning. When I called customer services they told me the number was still active. I told them I’m getting a message saying “the number you have dialled has not been recognised” and there is no signal whatsoever on the phone. I tried putting the SIM card in a completely different phone but still had the same problem. They advised that the problem might be resolved if they sent out a new SIM card. The new SIM card arrived on Tuesday and the transfer was done that day. 3 days later I’m still getting the message “the number you have dialled has not been recognised”. Something is obvious wrong if O2 couldn’t see that the number had been disconnected when it had. Now they are telling me it’s been transferred to a new SIM but nothing has happened for days. I’m desperate to get this sorted. Clearly there is some kind of technical problem with the number that the customer services can’t see.
