Hello,
I have recently bought a new handset with an O2 pay monthly plan. I planned to switch my old number to this new handset sim - sounds straightforward.
The problem is my old number is a Virgin Legacy sim, and so when I get a PAC code it isn't acceptable as it is already o2. I have contacted customer services on 3 separate occasions and I get out through to the Virgin Legacy department who are incapable of understanding the issue and then cannot help.
I am very frustrated with this as I feel like this is a relatively normal situation so I'm bewildered that it cannot be solved.

We’re just customers like you, and there is no o2 support on here, so you will need to persevere with customer services, if you send them a message on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG), or you can call 202 from your o2 phone
Bare in mind if there is any minimum term left on the ex Virgin Sim you will need to pay that off first.. Guide: Migration & porting into O2 will help as well

Hi,
I have been through exactly the same process that you have been through.
Spoke to more than 5 O2 agents and someone from Virgin Media.
The conclusion is that O2 have a technical issue to migrate from VM/O2 to O2 and there's no workaround!!!
The only way could be to port out of VM/O2 to another provider (PAYG?) And then port back to O2.
Not tried it yet though!!!!

Just be careful where you port to as some of the EE MVNO's cant port the Virgin Number ranges..
