I have a Samsung Galaxy A12 which is a 4G phone but when I go to 'settings/mobile networks/network mode', I can only set it to 2G or 3G.

Try resetting your network connections and make sure the phone has all the latest updates.

4g and above may be listed as LTE or LTE+ etc.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Oh, it does say LTE/3G/2G (auto connect), does the LTE mean 4G?

Yes, LTE is 4g

No 5g on A12 (2020 model)

LTE is the same as 4G in this case. I have 2 Samsung phones the old one displays 4G, the new one LTE

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
