Mobile signal weak in my area

How do I report poor signal in my area?

myself and other members of my family have had mobile signal problems.

I know of two occasions when masts were to be erected closer to my home, only for some local residents start a campaign against it. The planning submissions were subsequently withdrawn.

how do I register my desire for additional masts in the area to improve the signal?

I previously reported this to O2, but to my knowledge there are no open planning submissions to erect additional masts.

My post code is BT7 3JG

Texts seem to come through ok but calls are frequently dropped or it is not possible to make a connection.

Not much you can do if the local NIMBY brigade are protesting. The number of places for a mast are limited.

First thing is to make sure you have WiFi Calling enabled at home

See if anything here helps

Looks like the network is over subscribed and that is probably why they need another mast

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Network planners generally have a good idea where poor coverage areas occur. From the sounds of it, they're trying to build additional sites, but vocal locals are objecting via the planning system - leaving networks with limited options.

Your complaint very likely lies with those locals who object.

@Bruce5

When the planning application is in, get people to be in favour for the mast, to out way the NIMBY's in your local area, but like most companies they will only try a couple of time before they give up, and move on..

Try talking to the people who dont want it, and then create a counter protest group..

Other than that there is nothing you can do....

@Bruce5 If there are currently no open planning submissions to erect additional masts, and local residents start campaigns against any new plans, below are the chances of coverage improving in your area:

No hope

Use Wi-Fi calling at home as suggested above, or get Pay & Go sims from the other networks to see if your signal is better with a different provider.
