Lost phone, changed provider, O2 can't give me PAC code

Hi

I lost my o2 iPhone. It was out of contract. I bought a new phone with Tesco mobile. I want to transfer my old number. I called o2. They said they'd need me to text them from the old phone to get a PAC code. I reminded them I'd lost my old phone. They said they'd send a new SIM attached to the old number and when I received it I could put it in my new phone and then text for a PAC code.

The SIM arrived. It doesn't work in my new phone. I called 02. They said there was nothing they could do and it wasn't their fault I'd lost my phone.

Is there anything o2can do?  I saw that you can get a PAC code from Myo2, but they have sent a security text code to the original number which I can't access.

Thanks

John

Hi MI5

Thanks for your reply. I'm pretty sure Tesco are going to tell me they need a PAC code from o2. My new phone is on a Tesco mobile contract.

@johnniehaz

Tesco need to unlock your phone so the O2 sim will work to receive your PAC.

You can then give the PAC to Tesco to transfer your number.

Ask Tesco mobile to unlock your phone so the O2 sim will work in it.

@johnniehaz If you're on a Tesco contract with a Tesco sim you don't need a PAC from O2 to unlock the phone.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
