Question is why did you upgrade / move to o2 if the signal is so bad where you are, as the advice is always to test the networks via some free PAYG sim cards, before moving and signing a 2/3 year contract
How do you mean interference?? Is the line breaking up, or it is it a slight hum etc.. It might not be o2 it might be your mums network if she isn't on o2 or isnt in a strong signal area
Have you enabled WiFi calling? to help with calls at home, as this will help, and use your broadband and wifi at home to make calls.
You will need to contact o2 to turn on WiFi Calling - and then follow this page here:
https://www.o2.co.uk/help/network-coverage-and-international/wifi-and-4g-calling this can be done by calling 202 from your o2 phone or 0344 809 0202 from any other phone or you can connect them via Social Media , if you send them a message on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG), or you can call 202 from your o2 phone
