I’m basically just wondering what and where the payments would land really? As I’m seeing that there’s a 4 week delay and more on the new iPhone’s… so would I be already be paying for the phone even if it hadn’t even been given too me yet or would I start paying monthly when the phone arrives? I notice i have to set up direct debit so I assume there really isn’t any choice? It’ll just start charging me even if I’ve not got the iPhone yet? Hopefully this make sense to someone? I’m basically just deciding if I’m gonna go on contract but if I do will I be paying monthly from when I get the phone or when the direct debit is set up because what if I don’t get to even to have the iPhone before the first monthly payment and also… do I pay for the upfront cost first and then the first monthly payment is a month after?

@Declan4

Your contract starts from the point of dispatch of the device.

Your first bill is produced 2 to 3 days after that and you pay a month in advance plus the 2 or 3 days leading up to your first bill.

Upfront payments have to be paid when ordering.

So say the upfront cost is £30.00 and then the first monthly bill is £66.74 like it says it is… I pay the £66.74 when?

Approx 14 days after you receive the phone.

I just tried to get the iPhone 14 Pro Max on contract and was even charged for the upfront fee of £30.00… got to the last page and the submission had failed… my first experience and I’ve just basically had £30.00 took off me and no clue on whether my order had gone through. I’ve had no confirmation and o2 aren’t even around to help. Useless. I’ve heard this happen to others… so just brilliant

o2 reserve the funds with your bank but will not collect unless (until) the contract goes through.

If you contact your bank they MAY be able to release the funds earlier, but normally the reserve gets cancelled after 7 days.

Please note, this is not customer services and we cannot access your account. Do not publish personal details (email, phone number, bank account).
