Getting IMEI Blacklisting removed from My O2 Mobile

I purchased my mobile from Marketplace and now it's gone IEMI blacklisted. Spent hrs trying to sort this through customer services. I am now the legal owner of the phone. Customer services says there's no bars.

If the prior owner had a problem with O2 then its there problem and not mine.

Does any body had the same problem and what department actually sorts this out

Cheers

@Johnpaulb3130

You have a paperweight.

No one can unbar it now as it probably belongs to an insurance company.

You have been had over unfortunately.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

@Johnpaulb3130

It could be any insurance company.

Dodgy sellers on marketplace wiill sell a phone, then claim on their insurance for loss.

The insurance then bars the phone, the seller gets paid twice and the buyer is stuffed.

Common unfortunately and buyer beware.

@Johnpaulb3130 There's no way to tell who the insurer is or was. If the phone has been barred there's nothing you can do to unbar it. I've never had to use any of the links below, but maybe you can get some info from one of them:

IMEI Check - Free IMEI Number Checker | IMEICheck.com

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

It makes no difference who barred it.

It's useless as a phone now, forever.

It is an ex-phone, shuffled off this mortal coil, it has ceased to be! It's expired and gone to meet its maker! It's a stiff! Bereft of signal, it rests in peace! Its roaming powers are now history! It's kicked the bucket, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' bit-bucket invisible!! THIS IS AN EX-CELLPHONE, @Johnpaulb3130
