The answer is I am afraid tough, o2 do not provide free internet... Its not a charity so you have to pay to use its service.
Or connect to a free WiFi hotspot
You need to have a look at things like the National Data bank, and see if a charity can get you a pre paid sim card with data on it, it is means tested. Google is your friend here...
