Apple Watch data plan error code 14

Hello

I’ve purchased an Apple Watch s7 from John Lewis and added a data plan to my sim only contract.

I followed the instructions on:

How do I buy an Airtime Plan on an Apple Watch that I already have?

Now, I see the data plan in MyO2, but I get this error when opening the data plan settings on my phone:

Oops, something went wrong. Try again and if the problem continues call 202 for free from your O2 mobile, quoting reference code 14

Customer services could not resolve the issue.

•iData is enabled

•WiFi calling is ON

Looks like a common issue with devices not purchased from O2. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

@O2Sarah would really appreciate your help also. I'm struggling with this error code too, have tried calling and speaking to customer services, have tried suggestions online, and am no closer to getting the watch cellular up and running.

@O2Sarah- is the tag you need, @Lavapies, but @O2Daniel is also on this morning as Sarah's already probably fairly loaded (if you can help, @O2Daniel, thanks!).

Hi @O2Sarah-

I also have this problem after switching to a new Apple Watch. Are you able to help please? I've tried O2 support on 202 but had difficulty explaining the problem

@O2Sarah-

Would you be abled to help me with this problem too.

I have called 202 on numerous occasions and keep getting told I have to wait for my QR code in the post or go into store, I went into store and they advised I didn't need a QR code as it was an apple watch.

I then came to the community and found that if the Esim is reset on O2 end that should work, this has apparently been done but I still cant set up a data plan on my watch.

thanks x

Yes, 202 told me I needed a QR code too and insisted I was wrong when I tried to explain that this wasn't required for an Apple Watch. Very frustrating!
