I just recently bought Iphone 12 and I had o2 sim in my Xr .how I can upgrade 4g from 5g

You have two options

The easiest way is to call into an O2 store who will change the sim to a 5G sim free of charge

The other option is to order a 5G sim from customer service and then do the swap yourself
