23334 Scam?

Hi,

I fell for a Premium number scam this morning, from 23334.

They were pretending to be o2, asked if I had used o2 priority in the last 3 months (I replied "1" for yes) and then realised I'd been had.

So I'm wondering how do I prevent additional charges from this #? Am I automatically subscribed? Will I be charged for receiving future SMS' from them? How do I block the # and unsubscribe please?

Should I just close my account with o2?

Many thanks

Not all do.

Surveys will come from a shortcode number which are free to respond to.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Nothing fishy about that at all @Baz80

Why do you think you've been had?

Hi @MI5 ,

Thank you for your reply.

I think I've been had because the # appears in my mail box as 23334 whereas I see previous messages from o2 appear as 'O2 UK' etc.
