Texts coming through from friends but displaying a...

I have been receiving texts from two friends but the message shows ad if coming from another number that is not theirs. Neither had changed their number and their messages to me are still coming through. Other friend’s messages are coming and going fine. This feels like a scam of a hack / can anyone help?

Sounds more likely to be an issue with their network tbh.

@ZX - if it has recently started happening, have you checked your phone's address book for each contact is correct? Just a possibility, in addition to advice offered above. Good luck!
