Hi @Debra

How to cancel contract here https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/How-to-Guides/Cancelling-Your-Contract-A-Guide/ba-p/566774

If moving to a new network you will need your PAC here https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/How-to-Guides/How-to-get-your-PAC-2017-Update/ba-p/1052278

Keeping  your current number if you are moving to another network will just require a call to the new network and ask them to transfer it over.

Hope that helps and welcpme to the forum Welcome

You can transfer your number to a PAYG SIM temporarily whilst you decide what to do next.

Doing it this way cancels your contract and retains your number.

If you decide to stay with O2 you can just upgrade from your PAYG or if you change networks, just request your PAC and leave immediately.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

You may also wish to unlock your phone (assuming it is locked) so that you can either sell it or use a different network sim in it.
How to here:
