I've decided to try O2's 4g service and clicked on the link to use the online 4g checking service. It went through some checks and was happy that my phone (xperia z) was compatible but that i needed a 4g sim.

that was inserted and enabled today.

However when i go back to the set up checker and click to confirm my phone, all I get is a web page saying Oops something has gone wrong, click to go back to the homepage or try later.

Has anyone else had this issue? Is the 4g setup part of O2 down?? I've been trying all day to get past this stage.

Have you also chosen any 4G toggle that may now be in your settings ?

Make sure their is no software patch that you now need to download into your phone to enable 4G.

Take into account it can take 24 hours + to fully activate your services.

Try ringing 02 on 202 to ensure you account is running Ok.

Have you just set up a 4G contract as it won't work without one?

It's the step to set up a 4G contract that it's failing on

I'm wondering if its a software patch needed, which i touched on in my first reply, if the 4G/LTE  toggle / setting is not within the phones Network Settings.

I have the 4G option in my Mobile Network settings (in fact, it was there before I even upgraded my SIM to a 4G one (yesterday)...perhaps its taking some time for the 4G SIM status to propagate across the service?

This is possible.

What have 02 Customer services on 202 said to you ?

Is your NEW 4G Tariff account enabled set up ok.

It can take 24hours + to fully activate all your services.

Turning your phone off and on throughout this time helps to reset the service

I'm getting the same problem with my HTC One. I have a 4G SIM but get the same error as above when going though the Setup. LTE is enabled in the Settings (but it was anyway when I had a 3G SIM).

Weird thing is, when my 3G SIM was in the phone the Setup completed successfully, just stated that I need a 4G SIM and tariff.
