The new rules only apply when you are roaming yourself.
Calls from the uk on a uk mobile will still be charged at international rates.

As a frequent traveller to Spain this is the first time I will be putting this to the test. I'm not going on this occasion.... but my husband is and we are both on O2. As he isn't totally sure of his tariff (I know! Rolleys) we have decided I will call HIM as I have unlimited texts and calls. Should prove interesting. Happy Dance

Oh yes I know @jonsie..Point is I don't want him to ring ME or anyone if it can be avoided). IF he is close to to the limit for calls and texts and runs out then he will incur a bill purely for going over his allowances.

This morning he needed to call the captain of the bowls club he plays for. I said please dont be doing that while you are away....use Wifi and email them. (It's not me being clueless..it's the other half who has no interest in checking My O2, or using Tu.... etc etc etc...) Shocked

No need as the watch syncs to the phone so as long as phone is on auto time zone he'll be fine.
