insert sim into o2 Dongle E173

I have just received the above dongle HUAWEI E173

it says to hold dongle with o2 symbol showing on left and push up   then left

nothing happens

I am using the dongle now  but it might need some force      is a certain under statement

the information on how to open o2 dongle E173

is

1 / try to break it

2 / find a opening to get your very strong finger nail in

3 / force open

                     4 /  strangely when its been opened once........... after this it becomes easy
