Hi I was told that I had used up 80 percent of my data allowance the other day
This was a new thing to me as i have not had such a message before and do not know how i managed to use all this data as did not previously do so .
please help me with this matter

You can look in the settings of your phone to find out which apps have used the most data. If you have a low data allowance you need to turn off mobile data on the phone and just use wifi.
If you use social media apps like Facebook etc, these can use lots of data.
If you have an iPhone check that wifi assist is off in network settings.
My Sony and Samsung phones also beep when charged.

Mnnn... actually used 80% so 20% left so if 1GB allowance would have 200MB left

To add, it's highly likely that after the text was sent, the data would update at midnight leaving even less.....

To check your Pay As You Go balance:
Remember: you need at least one minute of call time credit to make a call.
