Well, fair enough. But can't see that type of user going for an iPhone. iPad on WiFi maybe wink

I only mentioned the WiFi Assist possibility it because we've seen so many threads on here about iPhone users getting outrageous extra data charges on their accounts because of Apple's insidious little 'feature' that a lot of users didn't know existed.

To be fair, android had wifi assist for a couple of years before ios but the big difference is the that default setting is 'off'.

I always understood that WiFi Assist was set to ON by default?

(I think we had a lot of discussions about this when iOS 9 was released?)

Yes, you are correct @Cleoriff. Straying a little off topic here, but worth noting.

Thanks @adamtemp64. If WiFi Assist is on, but Mobile Data is off, what function would it perform? Is it meant to do something else besides switch the user to Mobile Data?
