Yes if it takes the message over the 480 character count.

It depends if your phone does some funky stuff with the message, as normally you are not charged extra for emojis..

If you are worried use WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram or even Facebook Messenger...

Turn on character count and if it's below 480 there's no additional charges.

Explained in the guide I posted above.

so i turned on character count and it was 52/160 then i added my emoji after some more text and it went to 77/70, so i take it that means i would be charged for sending it like that?

No @Fingaz

Under 480 characters and it will not convert.

ok thanks, its strange, ive turned off mms in the settings but when i type a line of text to say 46/160 then add an emoji it goes to 48/70 and every consecutive emoji after that just adds 2 to the left number and the right number just stays at 70 😕

That's the emojis reducing your count to 70 max @Fingaz
