accessing o2 voicemail via Skype

I'm trying to access my o2 voicemail via Skype.

Normally, to do so via another handset, I use that handset to dial my o2 number, wait for my greeting message, dial "*" to interrupt it, enter my PIN, and I'm in.

When I try this via Skype out, dialling "*" does not interrupt my greeting message, preventing access.

Has anyone else had this problem?  If so, do you know a way around it?

Thank you,

Colin

Have a look for a call recording app on your app store as that might help you.

Thanks MI5.

I'm trying to download and save one of my voicemails.  I don't know how to do that on another handset: a recording app on my phone, for example, doesn't hear the voicemail.

I'm therefore trying to record the call by Skyping-out from my laptop.

Your mention of DTMF sent me to Bazward's solution at https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/skype/forum/skype_win10-skype_callms-skype_audioms/skype-dtmf-no...

Unfortunately, this didn't help me.

Good point MI5: that's a simpler solution.  Done.
