Been without O2 network in the Lostwithiel area now for around five days. This is getting beyond a joke - lasy year we lost service for about 10 days. Tried posting from my iPad on the O2 facebook support pages and got the message 'Unexpected error. Unexpected error'. Kinda says it all. Comeon O2, this is simply NOT good enough!
As a freelance journalist, I rely on my mobile phone a lot – I entered a contract with you, so how about holding up your end of the deal? I've been with O2 since it was known as Cellnet Digital back in 1995, but suddenly Orange is starting to look rather inviting.

As we are all customers here If not happy follow the correct complaints procedure.
Also I guess you have checked the status page for your postcode? http://status.o2.co.uk (it shows they know there is a fault but will never say when it will be fixed)
I personally would have a backup payg sim for instances like this if you need it for work. ( i have a 3 dongle on payg as backup for adsl and o2 failure)

Very self-righteous reply. Complaints procedures rarely work – in the past only by myself and others here in Cornwall going 'public' on here and Facebook has anything ever happened to remedy the problem. And, yes, we do know about the status page...
As for paying for yet another SIM – that's like saying you should always buy a second car just in case the first one breaks down. O2 is very happy to take our money, very slow to sort out problems – but that's what we pay them for.

The o2 complaints procedure especailly the impartial complaints review service works and will help resolve the issue and issue credits when needed. http://service.o2.co.uk/IQ/srvs/cgi-bin/webcgi.exe?New,KB=Companion,question=ref(user):str(RelatedHe...
As for a backup sim that is called business continuity. Our broadband was out for 5 days so needed 3g and o2 do not provide that at our rural location so had to get a 3 dongle.
I have seen your thread from last year perhaps abs can help again. As you stated there if orange is best for you them go with orange.
