I’m waiting to upgrade my sim only to the iPhone 14 in September and I was eligible to upgrade on my account a couple of days ago, now it’s telling me to wait another 2 months and 28 days! Can somebody tell me what is going on here?

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 using the links below, they should be able to help you with this

I’ve had o2 via Twitter to access my account however they mentioned that they can change the upgrade date from the timescale of 3-9 months which is completely unfair. Has anyone experienced this issue before ?

Yup - same thing just happened to me on my second line!

I had planned to upgrade that line rather than my primary but now it's saying 3 months and 16 days. 😡

It’s just odd, is it a change in policy?

I have another line with O2 that’s on a Refresh plan that I can upgrade, there’s a few £100 left it it that I had planned to clear.

If this is a recent change I am sure that people will start to notice if they’re waiting for iPhone pre-order day.

I hope they can fix this issue asap, as this was the only reason why I left my previous provider!

Just so you are aware you are not guaranteed to be able to upgrade after 3 months even if offered, as you will be subject to o2's affordability and credit checks.

And to be fair, this just brings o2 into line with other networks...

Just to point out as well the iPhone 14 has a "rumoured" release date of Mid September, and in very limited numbers, as parts are constrained and the FoxConn factories are behind, due to continual Chinese lockdowns and its coming up to factory close downs for 2 weeks...
