I have 2 phones and 2 numbers (both on PAYG).
I'm considering getting rid of one of them, however the sim in that phone has quite a bit of credit left on it.
Apart from making calls to China to use up the credit, is there anything else that can be done? Such as merge the credit with my main number?

I believe you can do that as long as you own both sim cards.
Be aware it will cancel the sim that you move the credit from so the number will be lost.

Sorry to bring up an old-ish thread but I have an update......
I spoke to an advisor 2 days ago and was told that I could transfer the credit. I told him I didn't have the numbers but I would do it in the next day or two.
Today I tried to do it and I was told I could not have it transferred as the sim that the credit was coming from was over 28 days. I asked to speak to a supervisor as I have done a transfer in the past and the sim was over 28 days old. The supervisor was no help either. I stressed that both of the sims were mine and I wanted to transfer the credit but he would not listen. He said he could send me a new sim to transfer the number and then the credit. I explained that if he checked the records he could see that one sim was a nano and one was a standard sim so that isn't possible.
So basically I am not allowed to transfer my own credit to my own sim (my main number).
Anyways I will be making a complaint.

If you're careful you can cut down a standard SIM to nano size if all else fails.

You would need an adapter to re-use it as a standard or micro SIM though.

I was also able to do it a few months ago but apparently the policy has changed and it can only be done with sims less than 28 days old.
I was advised to get 2 spare sims, transfer to one sim, then transfer to the other, then transfer to my number again. I know it sounds silly and I won't be doing it.
