Hello,

On Friday a voicemail message was left and my iPhone notified me 12 hours later. Now it doesn't work at all. People can't leave a message and it just cuts you off.

I have phone o2 customer service and tried the ##002#. Which didn't solve it.

Also when I dial 1750 it says can't be turned on as they don't have my number.

1760 says can't be turned off at this time.
Both say phone customer service.

I can still dial 901 to access my voicemail and the visual voicemail still works just the answering machine part doesn't. Just beeps and cuts people off.

Customer service said they have filled out a form and sent it to the relevant department to manually reset my voicemail and turn it on. Should take a couple of hours but allow 24h.
I have waited over 24h and it it still doesn't work.
They also said someone will call me at midday to check it's working and they haven't. Phoned up again and now told wait till Monday?

Anyone got a fix for this?

Thanks

VVM has been integral with Android since 6.0 Marshmallow but it requires carrier integration to work, just like iPhones.
O2 haven't adopted it yet as far as I know.....

I thought Google Duo was for two-way video calling, like Skype?

I didn't think it had anything to do with voicemail, @jonsie...?

Oh well, I suppose if you never have use for it, you will never have heard Android have got it.

I stand corrected

Not at all. You're completely correct as far as O2 is concerned.

I'm not sure if any other networks have it implemented in the UK as my EE sim is in an iPhone and Three don't offer it, so maybe EE or Voda have it on Android??

It would be good on android but seeing as I only get calls from social healithcare and hospital workers, I doubt they would use it even if they could. Most of them ring on their mobiles but want to be gone with the utmost possible haste!
