Yesterday I received a new iPhone 16 and when setting up the phone I tried to activate the new eSIM. This immediately failed and said the eSIM had expired and that I needed to contact o2.

My previous sim card in my old phone has since stopped working and the live chat feature is not working in the app so I now have no way to talk to anyone at o2, and have not been able to make any calls or use any data for 24 hours.

You can contact O2 via social media.

If you message O2 on Facebook (  https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (X)(  https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (  https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)

Thank you, unfortunately I am unable to visit a store as there are none close enough for me to get to outside of my work, and I have had no response from the social media channels. I have tried to use the chat feature in the app and every time I get to the talk to an expert option it sends me to the app store and then around in circles even though I was making the query through the app on the phone???

You have to keep nudging Social media. They are UK based and do have a good success rate with many issues but do need a reminder.

If you aren't able to get to a shop or call they are the best option. Do NOT bother with live chat!

Ok thank you. I will keep trying. I must admit that I have been with o2 for many years, and all in all it's been fine, but I have had at least one issue everytime I get a new device and the service seems to be getting worse and worse.
